Message from the Principal

Welcome back to school.  We are excited to begin the 2nd semester of this year!

This time of year brings with it winter weather.  School delays and closings are announced as soon as they are determined.  In the morning, the announcement will be available as early as 6:00 a.m. on the television and radio stations that serve our area.  During the school day, ParentLink will be utilized to inform you of changes to the after school program schedule.  Please make sure to check your messages from the school.

On 2-hour delay days, the students will still have reading and math.  Please make sure that the students arrive before 9:45 in order to begin their day with their classmates.  If a 2-hour delay falls on an early release Friday, there will not be an early release.

Every day in school is important to each student’s achievement.

Please make sure your students are here every day on time.  Students who arrive after 7:45 must sign in at the office.  We do not want any student to miss out on the learning that takes place each day.  Also, make sure the office has current contact information.  We may need to contact you at some point throughout the school year.  Also, please contact the school if your student is ill.

Thank you for helping Jefferson Elementary to have a wonderful school year.
